DAVAO CITY – Iligan City will host the next Mindanao Professional Boxing Association (MinProba) bout of undefeated Samuel “Silent Assassin” Salva of Iligan City against Lester “The Silent Penetrator” Pronco of Malaybalay, Bukidnon on October 15 at the Robinson’s Place.

The 10-round minimumweight title fight is one of the exciting bouts of the “Fist of Fury 2” boxing card promoted by Raffy Jimenez of RCJ Promotions.

Salva is still unbeaten with 10 straight wins and six knockouts while Pronco is toting 9 wins, 15 losses, 1 draw and 6 KOs.

Salva has beaten former Philippine champion Donny Mabao in his last two fights this year. He first won by a unanimous decision against Mabao on May 31 at the Barangay Santa Filomena covered court in Iligan City.

Salva made sure his early win was not a fluke by stopping Mabao already via an 8th round technical knockout on August 6 at the same venue.

Pronco, on the other hand, lost by a unanimous decision to Orlie Silvestre in his last fight held July 24 in Koronadal City.

MinProba president Jilson Basang will be gracing the boxing event sponsored by Iligan City Mayor Celso Regencia, Vice Mayor Jemar Vera Cruz, the City Government and Sen. Manny Pacquiao. (Lito delos Reyes/PNA)
