MANILA - Ginebra coach Tim Cone issued a public apology for his post-game act in Game 3 of the PBA Governors' Cup Finals.

Cone did not take it in stride when Meralco mentor Norman Black called a timeout despite his team being comfortably ahead with just 38.1 seconds left in the game.

After the final buzzer, Cone refused to shake hands and instead lashed out at Black for the timeout called.

"I regret my actions after Game 3 ended. Yes, I was upset about the timeout that was called late in the game, but there is no one in the PBA that I respect more than Norman Black. I got caught up in the moment and could have handled it differently," Cone said.

The development means both coaches will be in good terms again.

But likely not the passion of both teams in Game 4 on Friday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. (PNA)
