MANILA -- San Beda University completed a 3-0 sweep of its quarterfinal assignments in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League with a 79-35 romp over De La Salle University at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City on Sunday.

The Red Lions opened the game slowly, but their stifling defense against the Green Archers sufficed for them as they quickly opened a huge lead as high as 44, the eventual winning margin, as their shots began to fall.

Clint Doliguez and Calvin Oftana led San Beda, which will face the losing side in the final game of the Elite 8 round between Ateneo and Lyceum in the semifinals the day after, with 12 points each.

Mark Alcala made 12 markers, four boards, and three steals for La Salle, which ended its stint in the national playoffs at 0-3.
