MANILA -- The PBA D-League Aspirants Cup field is now down to 12 teams.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial approved the decision of Mila's to bolt out of the ongoing conference after four straight blowout losses.

According to team owner Aika Salanguit, the Mighty Roasters had to be disbanded due to an "internal problem" that she did not disclose.

Mila's, one of only two teams in the Aspirants Cup that are not school-based, the other being Marinerong Pilipino, suffered blowout losses in its first four games, all against collegiate teams.

A 55-102 defeat to Zark's-Lyceum prompted the PBA to call Mila's officials to its office.

Salanguit, however, vowed that the Mighty Roasters will play in the Foundation Cup "with an improved and competitive roster". (PNA)
