Gamboa fights back in Q4 to stun Perpetual Help

MANILA -- Gamboa-St. Clare exploded in the final quarter to shock Perpetual Help, 78-73, in their PBA D-League Aspirants Cup showdown at the JCSGO Gym in Quezon City on Monday.



The Coffee Lovers dropped 29 points on the Altas in the final 10 minutes, going on a 17-4 run to take a 66-65 lead and an 8-1 run down the stretch to seal the victory.



"Nakapag-adjust kami sa depensa. We played our matchups at in-adjust namin yung depensa sa pick-and-roll kaya ang dami naming steals," said Coach Jino Manansala. 



Aris Dionisio led Gamboa-St. Clare, which is now 3-2 in the conference, with 21 points, 11 coming in the pivotal fourth quarter, aside from eight rebounds, six blocks, and four steals.



Rey Peralta made 17 markers for Perpetual Help.
