SK village embarks on extreme cross country event

DAVAO CITY – A village in Sultan Kudarat town is embarking on the first Barangay Titulok 16K (Bayanihan Trail) Extreme Cross Country MTB Challenge on March 18

The event is brought by the Barangay Titulok in commemoration of its 30th founding anniversary and co-sponsored by the Bagumbayan All Terrain Cycling Hillers (BATCH).

The categories are the Juniors (29 yrs. Old and above), Seniors (30-39), Veterans (40 & above) and Ladies Open. The categories in the non-competitive are Funride A (29 & below), Funride B (30-39), Funride C (40 and above), Full Suspension (39 and below) and Executive Government Employees/Elected Government Officials.

The top three finishers in the Juniors will receive PHP5,000, PHP3,000, and PHP1,000 with trophies while the 4th and 5th will get PHP500 and PHP300 , respectively with medals.

The Seniors and Veterans top three winners will get PHP3,000, PHP2,000, and PHP1,000 in that order while in the Ladies Open are PHP1,500, PHP1,000 and PHP500.

Registration fee is PHP200 inclusive of a pack lunch plus raffles.

Meanwhile, the first Sultan Mastura Friendly Fun MTB Challenge is set on March 3 in Sultan Mastura, Maguindanao in celebration with the 15th Sultan Mastura anniversary.

The categories are for fun ride only in the 29 years old and below, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and above and Enduro Bike.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers and medals for the 4th to 10th placers.
