MANILA -- After taking the rest of the Holy Week off, San Miguel and Magnolia will resume their best-of-seven PBA Philippine Cup Finals series at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City right on Easter Sunday night (April 1).

With the series tied at 1-all, the showdown between the Beermen and the Hotshots is now down to a virtual best-of-five, but with the Beermen winning Game 2, 92-77, last Palm Sunday, the momentum is somehow on them, making them favorites to take the 2-1 series lead.

"We have a lot of time to adjust to another game, and we could reflect ourselves on what to do next," said Coach Leo Austria. "We have a lot of work to do because we all know Magnolia. They're really determined to win the championship."

Coach Chito Victolero, meanwhile, looks forward to seeing the Hotshots stay in step with the Beermen from start to finish, considering that they needed fourth quarter blasts in the first two games to at least make them interesting affairs.

"We just try to match up the energy of San Miguel, and control the pace of the game,“ said Victolero. (PNA)
