MANILA -- Neil Etheridge's much-awaited Premier League return is now set.

The Azkals goalkeeper and the rest of Cardiff City FC will battle Bournemouth on the road at the start of the 2019 season on Aug. 11. The kick-off time is to be announced.

Fulham, where Etheridge last played in the Premier League, opens its own campaign at home against fellow London-based side Crystal Palace.

Manchester City, on the other hand, begins its title defense on the road against Arsenal also in London.

Cardiff's home debut will happen on the following week with Newcastle paying a visit.

Cardiff will then welcome defending champion Manchester City on Week 6.

Cardiff secured promotion to England's top-tier football wars after finishing second in the English Football League Championship, the second division of the club league ladder.

The Premier League is the top tier of England's football league system, with teams battling it out for the honor of being crowned as English champions. (PNA)
