MANILA -- Typhoon Ompong may only have a little impact on Metro Manila right now.
But as the city of Parañaque geared up for an expected stormy weekend due to the typhoon by postponing classes on Thursday, the Universities and Colleges Basketball League followed suit.

The league announced that the scheduled doubleheader at the Olivarez College Gym in the city on Thursday will be postponed.

The Sea Lions were supposed to host the Diliman Blue Dragons in the second game of the scheduled twinbill, while the Lyceum-Batangas Pirates were to take on the CEU Scorpions in the first game.

The games will be rescheduled to a later date, more likely at the end of the first round of the eliminations. (PNA)
