MANILA — Alaska placed one foot into the PBA Governors' Cup quarterfinals as it knocked out Columbian from contention with a 104-94 win at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay on Wednesday night.

Mike Harris posted a 40-20 statline as the Aces moved into a tie with the idle Blackwater Elite for third place at 6-2 while keeping the Dyip winless after nine games.

Alaska was solid on both ends of the floor in the first half, dropping 33 points in the first quarter before limiting Columbian to just 19 points in the second period as the former entered halftime ahead, 53-43.

The Aces sizzled again offensively in the third quarter by dropping 32 points before holding off the Dyip.

Harris finished with 44 points, 27 rebounds, one steal, and one block for Alaska.

Vic Manuel added 16 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one block, while Jvee Casio and Chris Banchero made 10 markers each. Banchero actually came close to a triple-double as he too had 11 assists and seven rebounds with one block.

Akeem Wright and Jack Corpuz each tallied 19 markers for Columbian. (PNA)
