Gasca to face dangerous Mizuno in Japan July 20

DAVAO CITY – Filipino featherweight prospect, Roli “Zuma” Gasca of Cebu, will test his mettle against dangerous Takuya Mizuno of Japan on July 20 at the Aioi Hall in Kanya, Aichi, Japan.

The 30-year-old Gasca (25W-8L-1D, 8KO) won a unanimous decision against Shuma Sugawara of Japan on April 14 this year.

He also TKO’d Jason Tinampay of Bohol in the first round in Tagbilaran in 2017.

Gasca twice lost to Lusanda Komanisi of South Africa in East London for the International Boxing Organizational World featherweight title in 2014 and 2015.

Mizuno, 24 (16W-1L-1D, 14KO) has won nine bouts with seven of them by technical knockout.

The latest was against Piched Chianawa of Thailand by knockout in the 2nd round in Japan last March 16.

Gasca will be the first Filipino boxer to face Mizuno. (PNA)
