MANILA -- San Miguel turned the tides in the second half to defeat Rain Or Shine, 111-105, in Game 1 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Saturday night.

The Beermen went on a 39-point third quarter, 26 came right after an emotional timeout where Chris McCullough somehow had choice words to his teammates that he himself confirmed post-game, before checking the Elasto Painters in the fourth quarter with McCullough coming up with dagger baskets in crunch time.

McCullough finished with 32 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, one block, and two steals for the Beermen.

Chris Standhardinger stepped up in a game where Junemar Fajardo was quiet, scoring 20 points on 8-for-10 shooting, eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Carl Montgomery put up 20 markers, 17 boards, five dimes, three steals, and one block for the E-Painters.

Game 2 is set on Monday night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. (PNA)
