DAVAO CITY -- Super bantamweight "Prince" Albert Pagara of Leyte will fight Ratchanon Sawangsoda of Thailand at the Superdome in Ormoc City on August 17.
The 25-year-old Pagara (31W-1L, 22KO) knocked out George Krampah of Ghana in the first round in Cebu City on Nov. 24, 2018, retaining the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Inter-Continental super bantamweight title.
Pagara earlier TKO'd Laryea Gabriel Odoi of Ghana in the third round to win the vacant WBO Inter-Continental super bantamweight title last June 9.
On the other hand, Sawangsoda (12W-3L-0D, 12KO), alias "Lucky Tor Buamas", TKO'd Pattharapon Seehanan of Thailand in the second round during a fight in 2017.
However, Sawangsoda first lost in a knockout to Sho Ishida of Japan in the third round in Osaka, Japan on Feb. 24, 2018. He then suffered a knockout in the hands of Juan Miguel Elorde of Parañaque in the third round in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 15, 2018.
Meanwhile, Jeo "Santino" Santisima (17W-2L-0D, 14KO) of Masbate will face Alvius Maufani (6W-3L-2D, 3KO) of Indonesia in the undercard.
