MANILA -- Philippine Airlines' (PAL) services to and from Hong Kong is now back to normal operation, it announced on Tuesday.

PAL and other carriers had to cancel or reschedule a number of flights to and from Hong Kong on Monday, as protests were causing a slowdown in airport operations.

The Airport Authority Hong Kong has implemented a flight reduction scheme on Monday. PAL was able to secure flights between Manila and Hong Kong in the evening.

On Tuesday, PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said the resumption of PAL's normal operations comes after the protest actions in the airport premises have scaled down.

More workers have reported for work, she added.

Villaluna noted that PAL continuously monitors the situation in Hong Kong, and would give its passengers regular updates. (PNA)
