DAVAO CITY -- Prospect super featherweight Charly Suarez of Davao del Norte will again show his wares on August 24 against Virgil "Strong Man" Puton of Polomolok at the Fil Oil Flying V, San Juan Arena in San Juan City.

The 30-year-old Suarez (2W-0L, 2KO) recently knocked out in the 2nd round Justin Cabarles (4W-1L-0D, 2KO) on March 5 in Braulio E. Dujali, Davao del Norte. He also stopped Ernesto Cagampang from this city in the 2nd round on January 16 in Cagayan de Oro City.

Puton, on the other hand, settled for a draw with Landy Cris Leon of General Santos City for the Philippine Boxing Federation super featherweight title on December 28 in Muntinlupa City.

The 30-year-old Puton (17W-12L-2D, 8KO) lost to Nikita Kuznetsov of Russia in a unanimous decision on Feb. 22, 2019 in Russia.

Meanwhile, bantamweight Vincent "Asero" Astrolabio (13W-3L-0D,9KO) of Genera Santos City will face dangerous Kevin "The Bull" Aseniero (9W-2L-1D, 5KO) of Zamboanga City in the undercard.

The 22-year-old Astrolabio TKO'd Patrick Liuhoto of Indonesia in the 9th round on April 6 to win the vacant World Boxing Organization Oriental bantamweight title in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Aseniero, 25, TKO'd Kyota Otsuka of Japan in the 7th round on July 20 in Bacoor, Cavite.

Aseniero, however, earlier settled a split draw with Ken Jordan of General Santos City on May 23 in Quezon City.

The promoters are Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao and Raides "Nonoy" Neri of the MP Promotions. (PNA)
