MANILA -- The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) once again postponed its games for Friday.

Although Typhoon Hanna has already moved out of the Philippine area of responsibility, the heavy rains brought about by the southwest monsoon enhanced by the storm forced the league to reschedule its entire Friday fight card at the FilOIl Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

"All games scheduled for today are canceled and shall be played on a date and time to be determined later. Tickets for canceled games today shall be honored on the rescheduled date," NCAA management committee chairman Peter Cayco said in a statement.

College of Saint Benilde was to gun for the momentary solo lead in the team standings against Jose Rizal University in the first game of the seniors' doubleheader at 2 p.m., while San Sebastian and Emilio Aguinaldo College were supposed to collide in the main game at 4 p.m.

The games pitting their juniors’ counterparts were also called off.

This is the third time in four play dates that the NCAA had to postpone its games due to "Hanna's" effects.

The only time the league pushed through with its schedule over the period was its Thursday "NCAA On Tour" game between Lyceum and Perpetual Help at the latter's home floor in Las Piñas. The Pirates edged the Altas, 87-85. (PNA)
