LIPA -- Kaya Iloilo and Air Force banked on late goals to win their respective Philippines Football League matches on Wednesday.

Jordan Mintah won it for Kaya Iloilo as the club subdued Green Archers United, 1-0, at the Aboitiz Pitch here.

Mintah converted an 86th minute goal off the feed from Jalsor Soriano as Kaya Iloilo survived a scare from GAU earlier in the second half afterJohn Marcellana's attempt hit the crossbar before going back to play, although spectators thought the ball already went inside the goal line but was overlooked by the assistant referee.

Meanwhile, Darl Poderoso won it late for Air Force as his 84th minute goal lifted his club to a stunning 1-0 win against Mendiola at the PFF National Training Centre in Carmona.

Kaya Iloilo is now tied on points with Ceres Negros for first place in the league table with 28 points, although the latter is ahead on goal difference.

Ceres Negros can reclaim solo lead on points with a win against Stallion Laguna in the nightcap of the Aboitiz Pitch twinbill which is ongoing as of posting.

On the other hand, Air Force (seven points) is now just three points behind Mendiola (10) for fifth place in the table. (PNA)
