Ceres Negros mauls Stallion Laguna in PFL nightcap

MANILA -- Ceres Negros waylaid Stallion Laguna, with a 5-0 win in the nightcap of the Philippines Football League matches at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa, Batangas on Wednesday.

Ceres Negros used a three-goal barrage in a span of six minutes to romp away from the Stallions.

Bienve Maranon scored first for Ceres with a 32nd minute goal.

Mike Ott made it 2-0 with a goal in the 35th minute, while Carlie de Murga capped the late first half barrage with his 38th minute attack.

Robert Lopez Mendy then drilled Ceres Negros' fourth goal in the 64th minute before Maranon sealed the brace for the shutout win with his 88th minute strike.

Ceres Negros is now solely on top of the league table again with 31 points, while Stallion Laguna remains in third place with 21. (PNA)
