SMB huge comeback steals Finals Game 5 from TNT

MANILA -- San Miguel Beermen went on a tear to steal a 99-94 win and close out Game 5 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals against TNT KaTropa at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Wednesday night.

The Beermen finished the game with a 30-9 rally capped by an 8-0 run highlighted by Chris McCullough's game-winning floater with 26.2 seconds left to take a 3-2 lead against the KaTropa in the best-of-seven series.

McCullough finished with 35 points, 22 rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and one steal for SMB, which can clinch the title in Game 6 also at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Friday night.

Terrence Romeo added 22 points and five assists off the bench, while Junemar Fajardo came up with 16 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, and two blocks.

Terrence Jones put up 35 markers, 17 boards, eight dimes, four blocks, and two steals for TNT, which now needs to win on Friday night to force a winner take all Game 7 on Sunday night. (PNA)
