MANILA -- Tropical depression "Jenny" already made an early impact in Philippine sports on Tuesday as the National Collegiate Athletic Association announced the postponement of its supposed game day at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

"Due to the late suspension of classes, the games for Tuesday, 27 August 2019 are canceled and shall be played on a date and time to be determined," said NCAA management committee chairman Peter Cayco in a statement.

San Beda was looking to complete a sweep of its first-round assignments in its scheduled encounter against Mapua in the second game of the triple-header.

The other games have Letran battling College of Saint Benilde in the curtain-raiser and struggling Arellano battling San Sebastian in the main game.

The games pitting their juniors counterparts were also postponed in the process.

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora announced the suspension of classes in all levels early in the morning. (PNA)
