LUCENA, Quezon -- Meralco banked on a solid first half and crucial baskets to turn back Ginebra, 104-102, in Game 2 of the PBA Governors' Cup Finals at the Quezon Convention Center here on Friday night.

The Bolts surged late in the first quarter and continued their brilliance in the second quarter as they raced to a 61-42 lead late in the first half.

The Barangay, however, crawled back in the third quarter and forced a 70-all deadlock with 2:31 remaining in the frame.
