MANILA -- It’s Blackwater and Phoenix's turn to retool their respective guard rotations ahead of the 2020 Philippine Basketball Association season as they swung a trade on Thursday.

As approved by the league's commissioner's office, the Elite sent burly guard Brian Heruela to the Fuel Masters for Ron Dennison.

Heruela, Blackwater's third-round pick in the 2014 draft, found himself back with the team following a trade with TNT for Mike DiGregorio.

But Heruela's reunion was short-lived as the Elite sent him to another squad after just one conference.

Speaking of the reunion, Dennison, one of the Fuel Masters' second-round picks in 2018, will find himself reuniting with his former college coach at Far Eastern University, Nash Racela.

The former University Athletic Association of the Philippines and Metropolitan Basketball Association champion coach now has five former Tamaraws with him at Blackwater -- Dennison, Mac Belo, Carl Cruz, Mike Tolomia, and rookie Richard Escoto. (PNA)
