MANILA -- The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) on Wednesday unveiled the Gilas Pilipinas Men lineup that will take on Indonesia at the start of their campaign in the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers.
The SBP named CJ Perez, Poy Erram, Abu Tratter, Justin Chua, RR Pogoy, Dwight Ramos, Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena, Troy Rosario, Isaac Go, Juan Gomez de Liano, and Matt Nieto to the Final 12.
Kiefer Ravena, who was named captain of the squad, headlined the Philippine Basketball Association stars that made the Gilas Men lineup.
On the other hand, his younger brother, Thirdy, will be making his second appearance with Gilas Men and will lead the players who are yet to step into the professional league.
All in all, seven PBA veterans and five youngsters made the final lineup.
Gilas Men will travel to the Britama Arena in Jakarta to take on Indonesia in the first game of their FIBA ACQ campaign on February 23.
Gilas Men were supposed to host Thailand on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, but the game was postponed due to the coronavirus disease. (PNA)
