COTABATO CITY – The basketball club of Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) in Midsayap, North Cotabato, will represent Region 12 (Soccsksargen) in the national level Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA 2020) to be held in Northern Luzon in April this year.
This came after the NDMC basketball club--popularly known as “NDMC Rams,” defeated the Systems Technology Institute - Koronadal College representing South Cotabato, at the final score of 95-53 at the South Cotabato Sports and Cultural Complex on Sunday.
“With that, the NDMC Rams kept its position as the premier college basketball team in the whole region,” Oblate priest Fr. Jonathan Domingo, OMI, concurrent NDMC president, said in an interview by reporters here Monday.
Domingo said the NDMC Rams, the provincial college team of now PBA star and Philippine National Team player Marc Belo, had been keeping the title for five straight years.
“Thanks to the basketball training development program being effectively run by the NDMC institution,” he said. The forthcoming PRISAA 2020 meet is scheduled for the third week of April in Tuguegarao, Northern Luzon.
Soccsksargen comprises the provinces of South Cotabato, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and the cities of Cotabato, Kidapawan, Tacurong, Koronadal, and General Santos. (PNA)
