MANILA – The Zamboanga siblings of the Philippines scored huge victories over their Thai opponents at One: A New Breed at the Impact Arena in Bangkok on Friday night.

Drex Zamboanga submitted Detchadin Sornsirisuphathin to seal a successful One debut, while younger sister Denice made quick work of Watsyapinya Kaewkhong to stay undefeated in her career.

Drex just beat the Round 2 bell with a rear-naked choke that sent Sornsirisuphathin to sleep.

Drex Zamboanga moved up to 9-5 overall, scoring his second straight win.

On the other hand, Denice needed just 89 seconds to dominate Kaewkhong, sealing it with an Americana submission.

Denice Zamboanga, the number one ranked women's atomweight fighter at One, is now at 8-0.

However, the same cannot be said for the other Filipino fighter in the card, KC Carlos.

Carlos fell to Thailand's Wondergirl Fairtex in a battle pitting One Championship debutants.

Wondergirl was too much for Carlos, and it was evident in the middle of the second round when the former broke the latter's nose, forcing the ring physician to stop the contest. (PNA)
