ROS rolls over Terrafirma for 2-0 start

MANILA – Rain Or Shine recovered from an early third-quarter rally from Terrafirma to score a 91-82 win in their Philippine Basketball Association game at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center on Friday night.

Up 44-34 at halftime, the Elasto Painters let the Dyip turn things around at the start of the third frame as the latter went on a 21-7 run to take a 55-51 lead with 4:39 left in the period.

ROS bounced back after finishing the quarter on a 15-3 run to reclaim the lead for good, 66-58, entering the fourth, where the team upped its lead to as high as 16 points.

Rey Nambatac put up a solid performance all game long for the Elasto Painters, leading the team with 19 points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Javee Mocon, Gabe Norwood, and Beau Belga each added 14 markers as their team is now 2-0 in the bubble season, joining the Phoenix Fuelmasters, Barangay Ginebra, and TNT Tropang Giga in a four-way tie at the top of the standings.

Mocon completed a double-double after piling up 10 rebounds as well.

CJ Perez put up 26 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, five steals, and two blocks for the Dyip, who fell to 0-2.
