MANILA – Meralco took control of the final two minutes of its Philippine Basketball Association game against NLEX for a 101-92 win on Friday night at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.
The Bolts ended the game on a 7-2 run to broke loose from the Road Warriors, who at one point earlier in the fourth quarter were just down by two.
Chris Newsome put up another all-around impression of 18 points, six rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one block for Meralco, which won for the second straight game and moved up to 3-2 in the standings.
Allein Maliksi added 17 points, six rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
Kiefer Ravena's 30-point explosion banked on 10-of-15 shooting went down the drain as NLEX fell to 1-4.
