MANILA – The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) put on hold the scheduled Monday night game between NorthPort and TNT Tropang Giga.

The decision was a precautionary measure amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) situation inside the league's bubble in Angeles City, Pampanga.

The Tropang Giga was put on isolation after Blackwater Elite was initially tested for Covid-19 at the release of the team's reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test results on Sunday.

Both teams faced each other on Thursday night.

Blackwater, along with Alaska, requested for swab tests after they had contact with the referee that was suspected positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.

The referee officiated the teams' Tuesday night game.

The referee and the player were both tested negative in the latest RT-PCR test.

The Elite's supposed Sunday night game against the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters was postponed as well.

With the development, the supposed first game of the Monday night twinbill, the game between Phoenix and NLEX has been moved to 6:45 p.m. as the only game in the fixture.

Calvin Abueva is expected to suit up for the Fuel Masters for the first time after a 15-month ban against the Road Warriors. (PNA)
