PH Covid-19 recoveries rise to 439,895

MANILA – The country's total number of recovered cases from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) has climbed to 439,895, with 106 more patients recovering from the disease, the Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday.

In its 4 p.m. case bulletin, the DOH also reported 1,765 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, bringing the total of active cases to 26,677.

It also logged four new deaths, increasing the country’s tally to 9,248.

DOH said the areas with the highest number of cases include Davao City with 100 cases, Rizal (99), Cavite (71), Quezon City (70), and Manila City (69).

Coronavirus is continuing its spread across the world with 81,475,053 confirmed cases and 1,798,050 deaths in 190 countries and as of Dec. 31, 2020, according to the World Health Organization. (PNA)
