MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday logged 249 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) recoveries, bringing the country’s tally to 487,927 or 91.8 percent of the total infections.

In its latest daily bulletin, the DOH also reported 1,590 new Covid-19 cases that increased the Philippines’ active cases to 32,775.

Of the active cases, the health department said 88.9 percent were mild symptoms, 5.9 percent without symptoms, 2.4 percent in critical condition, 2.3 percent with severe symptoms, and 0.53 percent with moderate symptoms.

DOH data on Feb. 3 showed that 1,428 or 5.8 percent of 24,691 who were tested turned out positive for Covid-19.

It also reported 55 new deaths, bringing the country’s total fatalities to 10,997 or 2.07 percent of all individuals infected.

On the country’s healthcare facilities allotted for Covid-19 patients, available are 60 percent of the 1,900 intensive care units, 65 percent of the 13,500 isolation beds, 76 percent of the 6,000 ward beds, and 80 percent of 2,000 ventilators. (PNA)
