MANILA – The OCTA Research Group on Wednesday said the total number of new Covid-19 cases continues to decrease in the National Capital Region (NCR).

In its latest monitoring report, the group noted a decrease of 13 percent for the period of June 9 to 15 in the region as it averaged only 829 new cases per day.

“This corresponds to an average daily attack rate of six per 100,000 (ADAR) which classifies it as moderate risk,” OCTA said.

NCR’s reproduction number over the same period was 0.69.

Its positivity rate was 8 percent with 35 percent hospital bed occupancy, 46 percent intensive care unit bed occupancy and 33 percent mechanical ventilator occupancy – all at safe levels.

The group also reported all the local government units in the NCR are now classified as moderate risk.

Navotas has the lowest ADAR at 3.85 while Pateros has the lowest average of daily new cases at 6. (PNA)
