MANILA – Security Bank Corporation (Security Bank) said all its branches across the country will be closed on Tuesday in line with the observance of the Muslim holiday Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).

In a statement, the bank advised its clients to check the financial institution’s Facebook page or send an e-mail to customercontact@securitybank.com.ph for any inquiries on credit cards, and customercare@securitybank.com.ph for other concerns.

It said the bank’s Customer Service hotline, which customers can call by dialing (02) 8887-9188 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., will be available for any client concerns.

“While all bank branches will be closed, the Customer Service hotline will be available 24/7,” it added.

Malacanang, in Proclamation No. 1189 signed on July 15, 2021, declared the observance of Eid’l Adha as a national holiday since a large part of Mindanao is home to Filipino Muslims.

Eid’l Adha is one of the two major feasts among Muslims, the other one is the Eid’l Fitr (Feast of Ramadan). It marks the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as an act of obedience to God. God sent an angel to replace Ismail with a ram as a sacrifice. (PNA)
