COTABATO CITY – A team of anti-narcotics agents and police officers arrested Sunday afternoon two alleged high-value targets (HVTs) and seized PHP3.4 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Maguindanao del Norte province.

Agent Jocelyn Mary, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) spokesperson, identified the suspects as Tapimpi Alimudin, 67, and Badruden Ebrahim, 37, both of Barangay Salimbao, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte.

“The two are high-value targets; we have placed them under surveillance for at least a year,” Mary said in an interview Monday.

The two were arrested after agreeing to sell the illegal stuff to a poseur-buyer along the highway in Salimbao, she said.

However, another HVT, Abdulfata Mamalinta, eluded arrest.

Authorities also seized a motorbike and two mobile phones from the suspects, who are currently detained at the PDEA-BARMM detention facility here. (PNA)
