Tanjay City drug ops yield P1-M shabu

DUMAGUETE CITY – Police have seized more than PHP1 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested a suspected drug pusher during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Obogon in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental.

A report from the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office on Thursday identified the suspect as Andrew Jerusalem Sido, 30, resident of Barangay Obogon.

Sido, tagged as a high-value individual in the police’s list of drug personalities, was arrested Wednesday when he allegedly sold some 150 grams of suspected shabu to an undercover operative.

The value of the suspected shabu was placed at PHP 1.020 million.

The suspect is now detained as a complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act was filed against him on Thursday at the Tanjay City Prosecutor’s office. (PNA)
