Fight against corruption among Interior Ministry’s priorities

SOFIA, Bulgaria – Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov met with Gretta Fenner, head of the Basel Management Institute, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.

The sides discussed ways to advance cooperation between the Interior Ministry and the Institute.

They outlined the ways for exchange of experience, good practices and training to combat efficiently corruption.

Stoyanov noted that one of the priorities of the Interior Ministry, set out by its leadership, is fight against corruption.

He said that the recommendations of the Basel Management Institute would provide valuable guidelines to strengthening the efficient efforts against such crimes.

In this sense he underscored the need for intensified partnership and concrete actions which would contribute to achieving improved efficiency in the work of the competent institutions.

The Interior Ministers and the Basel Management Institute head expressed readiness to keep in constant contact and organize future joint initiatives, the Interior Ministry said. (BTA)
