CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY - Police operatives in Lanao del Norte arrested 10 suspects in separate drug busts yielding over PHP1 million shabu on Friday.
In a report, the Salvador town police identified some of the suspects as Salmer Aladan; Karim Aladan, 19; Janima Aladan, 30; Dayamona Aladan, 59; and Monabae Aladan, 30.
A law enforcement agent who posed as a buyer handed over a PHP1,000 bill in exchange for the 150-gram of shabu, police said.
The confiscated shabu was estimated to have a market price of PHP1 million.
The operation was conducted by anti-illegal drugs units together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Meanwhile, Lala town police nabbed on Friday Francis Michael Medina, 31, after allegedly yielding shabu worth PHP24,480 during the service of a search warrant in Barangay Lanipao.
Medina was identified as the Top 7 in Northern Mindanao on the police and PDEA watchlist.
His companions– Marjun Maruhom, 18; Gerald Solmayor, 24; Jaymer Quinto, 18; and Christhelynne Mae Campanon, 21– were also nabbed.
All suspects in Salvador and Lala will be charged with the violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
