PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur - A four-year-old boy and two Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) members were injured in a road crash in Zamboanga del Sur on Monday.

Lt. Col Terence Ylanan, the Army's 53rd Infantry Battalion commander, said a military vehicle that was supposed to assist the boy to a hospital here crashed into a gasoline station in Molave town.

Ylanan said the vehicle, driven by Lt. Jay Mar Paderes, assisted the boy, whose father is one of the injured CAFGUs, from Dumingag town.

The child had to be given medical attention after a corn kernel stuck inside his ear, he said.

Initial reports said Paderes lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a gasoline station.
