CEBU CITY – A suspected major drug player here yielded a total of PHP8.8 million worth of suspected shabu in a sting operation before dawn Friday, the police said in a report.
Lt. Col. Jomar Dela Cerna, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-7 chief, said operatives nabbed Manuel Ace Delgado Causing, 21, of Upper Galilee, Barangay Duljo-Fatima, during a buy-bust in the southern village of Poblacion Pardo.
Police seized several plastic packs containing a substance believed to be shabu worth PHP8,840,000.
“The arrest of this drug personality is expected to reduce (by) 30 percent of illegal drug activities in Barangay Poblacion Pardo, Cebu City,” Dela Cerna said in a statement.
He said if Causing’s group would be left unnoticed, an emerging illegal drug personality would probably take his place as a major player in the area. (PNA)
