MANILA – Warm weather and isolated rain showers will prevail across Luzon and the Visayas, the weather bureau said Monday.
"No weather disturbance was monitored, and there is only a slim chance to have a tropical cyclone in the next two to three days," Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
Luzon, he said, will experience warm weather at noon, while isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon or evening.
Temperature reaching 34 °C is forecast in Tuguegarao and 33 °C in Metro Manila, Legazpi, Kalayaan Islands, Puerto Princesa.
"A huge part of the Visayas and Mindanao will also experience generally fair weather," Badrina said.
The temperature in Zamboanga will reach up to 33 °C, and up to 32 °C in Tacloban, Iloilo, Cebu and Cagayan de Oro.
Meanwhile, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across Mindanao. Moderate to heavy rains may result in flash floods or landslides.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail across the archipelago, PAGASA said. (PNA)
