P3.4-M worth of 'shabu' seized from Chinese father, son in Bulacan

MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan  –  The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a Chinese national and his Filipino son and seized from them suspected shabu with an estimated street value of  PHP3.4 million during a buy-bust in Barangay San Pablo, this city on Tuesday. 

PDEA 3 (Central Luzon) Director Ronald Allan DG Ricardo, in his report released on Wednesday morning, identified the Chinese national as Anthony Chua, and his son Jay Vie Cai, both residents of Pleasant Village, Barangay San Pablo.

Recovered from them were a plastic bag containing about 500 grams of suspected shabu and the marked money used by the undercover agent. 

Ricardo said the operation was a product of a month-long surveillance by operatives of PDEA-Tarlac, PDEA-Bulacan, and the Malolos police. 

A charge for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to Section 26B (conspiracy to sell) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspects. (PNA)
