MANILA – At least three flights to and from Taiwan were canceled on Thursday due to bad weather, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) reported.

These flights are AirAsia Philippines Z2 132/133 Manila-Kaohsiung-Manila and Cebu Pacific 5J 311 Taipei-Manila.

Earlier, AirAsia said their Kaohsiung flights are canceled as Typhoon Jenny's track is headed to Taiwan.

"Typhoon Jenny's (Koinu) movement according to various weather models will pass through Taiwan between 2 a.m. of 5 October until 2 a.m. the following day," it said in an advisory.

Affected passengers could change their flight dates for free, retain the booking value in a credit account or opt for full refund, AirAsia said.

Jenny is about to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility and is forecast to make landfall over the southern portion of Taiwan on Thursday. (PNA)
