MANILA – Most parts of the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms, the weather bureau said Thursday.

The northeast monsoon or "amihan" will cause isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecaster Patrick del Mundo said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have isolated rain showers, especially in the afternoon or evening.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will continue to prevail across Northern Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.

Meanwhile, del Mundo said the cloud clusters outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next hours. (PNA)
