CEBU CITY – Operatives seized PHP3.7 million worth of suspected shabu during an anti-drug operation in a northern upland village of Consolacion town in Cebu province Sunday.

The operation also led to the arrest of a former drug convict identified as Philip Llaguno, 41, said Leia Alcantara, information officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Llaguno, a drug convict in 2009, was nabbed in his residence in Barangay Lamac, Consolacion and yielded 10 packs of illegal drugs believed to be shabu weighing around 550 grams.

“He was placed under surveillance again because of information that he resumed his illicit activities,” Alcantara told the Philippine News Agency.

The suspect could dispose at least two kilos of shabu a week, the official said.

Fresh drug charges are being readied against the suspect. (PNA)
