MANILA – The official Facebook account of Speaker Martin Romualdez was subjected to unauthorized access by unknown individuals.

"I was informed by the communications team of the Office of the Speaker that my official social media accounts have recently been subjected to unauthorized access by unknown individuals," Romualdez confirmed in a statement on Monday.

Romualdez said they are currently working with the relevant authorities to investigate this breach, stressing that they are "taking this matter very seriously."

"Rest assured, we are committed to resolving this issue promptly and ensuring the security of our digital platforms," he said.

Romualdez urged everyone to remain cautious and vigilant about any unusual activity or communications that may appear to be from him or his office during this time.

On Oct. 15, the House of Representatives website was defaced by a group calling itself “3MUSKETEERZ.” The home page showed an image of a meme captioned “you’ve been hacked”. (PNA)
