BUTUAN CITY – Local entrepreneurs, travel and tour operators, and local government units (LGUs) from the Caraga Region have successfully expanded their market reach by participating in the three-day 2nd North Luzon Travel Expo in Baguio City, which concluded on Monday.
“Caraga products and handicrafts were recognized during the event to diverse audiences and attracted potential customers and business opportunities,” Department of Tourism-Caraga (DOT-13) Director Ivonnie Dumadag said in an interview.
Aside from showcasing local products, she said the expo also presented diverse travel opportunities for Caraga tourists.
Dumadag further described the region’s participation in the expo as an “opportunity for exposure, networking, and market expansion, which are expected to promote local economies and regional development.”
