MANILA – Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr. will meet with French Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu on Saturday.
In an advisory on Friday, the DND said the two leaders are expected to discuss international security developments and defense cooperation between the Philippines and France.
Meanwhile, the Embassy of France in the Philippines, in a separate statement, said Lecornu would engage in a "working lunch and high-level meeting" with Teodoro.
They will also be joined by delegations from both France and the Philippines.
This visit follows the commitment of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and French President Emmanuel Macron to enhance the strategic partnership between Manila and Paris. (PNA)
