MANILA – Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) has announced the cancellation of flights to and from Dipolog from Dec. 8 to 17 due to the airport's runway repairs resulting in limited jet operations.

The canceled flights between Manila and Dipolog are 5J 703/704 and 5J 705/706.

"As safety is of paramount concern, operations will remain suspended until we have assessed and confirmed that the runway is safe for landing and take-off," CEB said in an advisory.

Affected passengers may take the additional recovery flights to Pagadian, the airline said.

They could also rebook or reroute their tickets to flights bound for Ozamis or Pagadian. Fare difference may be applied if the travel period is beyond 30 days from the original schedule.

Further, they could refund their ticket, or store the value in a virtual CEB wallet.

The CEB said they would provide an update to passengers with bookings beyond Dec, 17, once the runway repairs were done. (PNA)
