MANILA – It’s back to work -- and classes for some -- on Jan. 2, 2024 as Malacañang clarified it is not a holiday.

Wala po (None),” Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil replied to queries on Friday about a possible announcement of a Jan. 2 holiday.

Dec. 26 was declared a non-working day to “give the people the full opportunity to celebrate the holiday with their families and loved ones.”

The next national holiday on the calendar is Feb. 10, Saturday, declared a special non-working day for Chinese New Year. (PNA)
