MANILA – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said both the northeast monsoon or "amihan" and easterlies will continue to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers across the country on Sunday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Luzon will be affected by the northeast monsoon, causing cloudy skies with light rains in Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region and the provinces of Kalinga, Apayao, Aurora and Quezon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will likewise have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the amihan.

Meanwhile, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.

PAGASA warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in vulnerable areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA also forecast moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas across Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail over the rest of the archipelago. (PNA)
