MANILA – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday said several areas in the country would continue to experience rain showers due to three weather systems.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, Aklan, Capiz, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, and Quezon are forecast to experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the shear line and the easterlies.

Moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides.

The northeast monsoon will continue to bring light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora, and isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.

PAGASA said isolated rain showers caused by the easterlies and localized thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are forecast over Luzon and the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao.

Rough to very rough seas will prevail over the eastern seaboards of Northern, Southern and Central Luzon, and the eastern seaboard of the Visayas.

Sea travel is risky for small sea vessels and mariners of these vessels are advised to remain in port or seek safe harbor.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
